Joining the Equine academy

Once I knew I wanted to go to Writtle, I was overjoyed to find out that they had an equine academy! For me that meant I could carry on working towards my goal.

Unfortunately I do not have the opportunity to bring my own horse with, as she is now retired and it is also way to expensive.

But luckily the academy has a production team, which is what I joined!

On the production team we have 3 riders! Each of us are given a horse to work with and produce for the academic year, this year, I have been given a 5yo British sports horse called Echo. Her owner is part of the academy too! Below is a photo of little Echo showing off a banner from our lovely sponsors Birkett Long.

The end goal for Echo is to become an eventer in her future so that is what we will be working towards by putting in the base work!
